This is good. You’ve given me organizational ideas, too. This particular post is particularly clear and well-organized. Under which tab can I find it going forward? Thank you!
Thank you! I'm still deciding where to save this post in the navigation bar. I'm considering creating posts by major theme, which would include a list of the posts and episodes with brief summaries. If I go in that direction, I'll include a tab with directory posts. It's an interesting challenge to work out. I also plan on making this information available on the Dabrowski Center website. If I do that, I could create a tab here on Substack which links directly to that page. So, there are options. I'm glad you found it helpful!
This is a great question, Davina. Whenever someone asks about this, I always imagine my own way into the theory, which came first from the work of Michael M. Piechowski, and then Dąbrowski's words. Here on Substack, some of my Interesting Quotes posts might be a good way into their work (for instance: https://www.positivedisintegration.org/p/interesting-quotes-vol-4)
What happened for me is that I felt seen in the work of these two men in a way I really hadn't before. I think this works differently for everyone. You're helping me realize that I should write an article about this.
I've just discovered the podcast, and only listened to three of the original ones. Positive Disintegration... Over Excitabilities... It's fascinating! - looking forward to learning more and this post really helps.
We’re so glad you found us, Robyn! Thanks for listening, and welcome to the world of Positive Disintegration. There’s so much to explore, and we’re excited to have you along for the journey. If you ever have questions or reflections as you listen, we’d love to hear them! 💫
I only have a basic understanding of accelerationism, but I’m definitely intrigued by the possible connections.
Dabrowski did talk about accelerated development, especially in people with strong developmental potential, but that was on the level of individual psychology, not sociopolitical systems. But the idea that breakdown can be a necessary precondition for transformation definitely feels like a shared thread. I’d love to hear more about what connections you see!

Thank you for this structure. I am wondering if you offer any guidance for individuals who wish to self-exploring through the TPD lens?

There is a Piechowski Archive on the D Center website with links to Michael's work, and it includes what I consider a accessible book from 1977: (https://dabrowskicenter.org/archives/piechowski-archive/)

Have you ever related positive disintegration to accelerationism? I'd be interested in that take. 😁
